Infrastructure Location College.Hospital, Community & Hostel

Mannai Narayanasamy Educational Trust is located in a natural environment at Thanjavur – Kumbakonam high way. The college is situated in a peaceful Green environment which is away from the noise and pollution of central city, providing a calm area for study. We are having the access of Railway Station at 12 Kms and Airport is at 80 Kms away from the College. The Institution campus, including the College, Hostel & Playground occupies an area about 30 acres.

Based on the National Health policy the curriculum and syllabus are prepared by Indian Nursing Council. Based on this the syllabus and curriculum are prepared by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai & Tamil Nadu Nursing Council, Chennai for various courses.
The infrastructure facilities are very conducive for effective teaching and learning process. Well equipped lecture hall, Laboratories for different departments, Lab for computers, library with collection of current textbooks, references, National and International Journals collection of CDs from various national and international sources. Well planned curriculum, different methods of teaching ongoing pool proof system of evaluation by the university. Evaluation and Feedback from the Teachers, Students, Peer group, parents, Periodical revision of the syllabus. Documentation and Auditing are all factors determining the quality assurances.

Hence the institution takes much important to these components. We conduct three term exams apart from Three Revision exams. After the completion of every term exam there will be a parents -Staff meet in which the corresponding class teachers and the Principal will meet every Student`s parent in person. This will helps the parents to understand their child`s performance. The Staffs along with the parents will analyze the academic performance of the individual Students and collaboratively plan to rectify the betterment of the Students.

Library

It is the nucleus of any educational institution has a modern library with a large number of nursing related textbooks. It also boasts of the latest national and international journals. This Library has an extensive collection of 3500 books which include Physiotherapy, B.Sc Nursing Degree and Diploma Nursing and reference books. The collection also includes books on Administration and Education, WHO, UNICEF, ICMR and family welfare etc.

In addition to the above, the collection includes books on Medical & Surgical Management, Research, Community Health Nursing, Obsttrics and Gynaecology, Mental Health Nursing, Administration, Computer Science, English, Sociology, Psychology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Genetics, Orthopaedics , Paediatrics and Rehabilitation and general books on Great leaders like Gandhi, Nehru and Abdul Kalam. The Library also Subscribes- both National and International Journals.

Main Reading Room has an extensive reference collection of over 1500 key materials selected by various references. The most recent year’s major medical journals are made available. Current audiovisual materials, abstracts and indices are also available in the Library Reading room.

Within our Library we can be used all Teaching Staff and Students. The Library features print and electronic Nursing and Physiotherapy references, a flat screen Television with DVD and Video Conferencing, anatomical models, internet- access computers, and electronic databases. The Library has a total Reading capacity for 100 readers.
